OEM and Private Label at MST Acoustics: How We Build Distributor Brands

A growing share of the acoustic panels we ship leaves the factory without our name on the carton — it carries our partners’ brands instead. MST Acoustics’ OEM and private-label program has become one of the fastest-growing parts of the business, and this article explains how it works for distributors considering the move from resale to brand ownership.

What we customize

  • Product: Pantone-matched PET felt colors, custom thicknesses, CNC-cut patterns, printed graphics and veneer finishes on wood slat lines.
  • Packaging: branded cartons, printed labels with your article numbers, custom inserts, and sample boxes designed for your showroom or mail-out campaigns.
  • Documents: technical data sheets, installation guides and spec sheets issued under your product references — with the underlying test certificates (EN 13501-1 B-s1,d0, ASTM E84, ISO 354, FSC, E1) available for your project files.
  • Logistics: mixed-container consolidation across product families, drop-shipping arrangements for project programs, and scheduled restocking plans.

The MOQ question, answered honestly

Private label fails when minimum quantities force distributors to buy two years of stock to launch. Our program is built in tiers: standard colors with simple branding run at modest MOQs; full Pantone-matched color programs and custom packaging require larger runs because they occupy real production slots. The result is a ladder you can climb — start with branded cartons on standard colors, graduate to custom colors as volume proves itself.

The process, end to end

  1. Briefing: you share target products, colors, volumes and markets.
  2. Samples: we produce pre-production samples for approval — the physical contract for everything that follows.
  3. Artwork: packaging and label artwork is developed together, print-ready files approved by you.
  4. Trial order: a controlled first run validates the whole loop before volume production.
  5. Scale: scheduled production, batch color retention, and consolidated shipping as volumes grow.

Why brands choose a manufacturer, not a trader

Private label lives or dies on consistency: the color match between months, the fire report that matches the shipped construction, the lead time that holds when the season peaks. Those are manufacturing capabilities, not sourcing promises. Come see the factory, review the certificates, and build the program on the floor that makes it — that is what our OEM partners do.
