We are pleased to announce that MST Acoustics has obtained FSC Chain-of-Custody (CoC) certification covering our wood slat acoustic panel production. For our distribution partners and their project customers, this turns a procurement question — “is the wood responsibly sourced?” — into a documented answer.
What the certification covers
Chain-of-Custody certification tracks certified material from verified forests through every handling stage: the board mills supplying our MDF, our own production of slat panels with real wood veneer surfaces, and the export packing process. Our certificate scope covers the wood slat panel product families, which combine FSC-certified board and veneer with a recycled PET acoustic felt backing.
How the FSC claim works in practice
- Order specification. Specify FSC-certified product when placing your order; the claim (for example, FSC Mix) is tied to the order and production run.
- Documentation. Invoices and shipping documents carry the FSC claim and certificate code — this is what preserves the chain of custody through your side of the supply chain.
- Your own sales. Distributors who purchase FSC-claimed goods can pass the claim on under our certification relationship; talk to our team about how the claim applies to your market and branding.
- Project files. LEED, BREEAM and WELL documentation packages include the certificate copy and claim records your consultants need for responsible-sourcing credits.
Why we pursued it
Public tenders, international retail standards and green building projects increasingly require certified timber — not as a bonus but as an entry condition. Our partners were being asked the question on more and more projects; the certificate means the answer is now always yes, with paper to prove it.
Combining certifications
The wood slat panel document package now includes: FSC Chain-of-Custody certificate, EN 13501-1 B-s1,d0 fire classification, ASTM E84 report, ISO 354 absorption data and E1 (E0 optional) formaldehyde certificates. One supplier, one container, every document a tender asks for.
Partners can request the certificate copy and claim guidance from our sales team at any time — we would rather explain the paperwork twice than see a claim used incorrectly once.
