Customers who visit our factory tell us the same thing afterward: the product makes more sense once you have seen where it is born. This article is the next best thing to standing on the floor — a walkthrough of how an MST Acoustics panel travels from raw material to a sealed container on its way to your warehouse.
Station 1: Fiber and felt production
Everything PET starts in the fiber hall, where recycled polymer becomes colored fiber and is thermo-bonded into felt sheets at controlled density. Because fiber and felt are produced in-house, our team controls the variables that define quality: thickness, density, and above all color consistency — dye lots are logged so a panel shipped this quarter matches one shipped last year.
Station 2: Fabrication and wood slat assembly
Base felt moves to fabrication: panels are cut to format, CNC machines cut 3D geometries and printed graphics are applied. In the slat line, real wood veneer slats are mounted onto PET felt backing — the combination that gives our wood slat panels their natural surface and documented absorption. Perforated and grooved wood lines run on E1/E0 boards with sealed edges.
Station 3: Testing and quality control
Quality control is a place, not a department: samples from every production run go through dimensional checks, density and color-batch verification, and adhesion checks on veneered products. Periodic laboratory testing covers ISO 354 absorption, EN 13501-1 and ASTM E84 fire performance, and formaldehyde class — the certificates our partners’ projects are built on.
Station 4: Packing and loading
Panels are wrapped in moisture-barrier film, corner-protected, palletized to engineered stack heights, lashed and airbag-secured in the container. Every shipment is photographed before departure — pre-loading photos are sent to customers as standard, so receiving teams know exactly what to expect.
Come and see it
We regularly host partners for factory visits — production walk-throughs, product training and sample reviews with the technical team. If you are building a private-label program or qualifying suppliers for a major project, a visit is the fastest due diligence there is. Contact our sales team to arrange one; we will have the floor ready.
